Jim is a 52 year old Cherokee from Alabama.
Jim became involved in the Civil Rights movement in the late 70’s and has dedicated many years to developing ideas to establish methods for forcing the U.S. Government to insure the Civil Rights of First Nations People.
Jim has been involved in music most of his life and has directed his music efforts toward Furthering the Civil Rights movement and environmental protection issues and establishing a means to develop the First Nations Outreach Project.
Jim also writes poems and has written two novels, which he hopes to have published sometime This year.

Recently Jim became a published author when his first novel "Kettle Creek' was published.
All proceeds from the novel go to the First Nations Outreach Project. To find out more about the novel and the First Nations Outreach Project, please visit http://defendthewolves.org
The song listed is about my first meeting with Michi. Michi was our very first rescue. She was 18 months old when she first came to live with us. She was also our third wolf.
Currently we are home to thirty-eight wolves. We hope soon to include raptors and other native wildlife.
Our web sites are rated family safe. Since we link back here from our sites we can not link to sites who are not family safe. Meaning G- rated sites.
If your site is not a family safe site we will not be able to cross link with yours.

We are all teachers. If we are teachers or not is not a choice we get to make.

The only choice we get to make, is what kind of teacher we will be.

Over the years I have been blessed with many special friends. In times when I have lacked the energy or the ability to carry on, they have helped me through so that I can continue the work that must be done.

One of those special friends is Sister Sunshine. You can visit Sister Sunshine at Sister Sunshine

We were having a problem with hosting for our domains. Lydia stepped up and 0ffered us free hosting and even redesigned http://defendthewolves.org and gave it a much better look.

She did not do this because she expected anything in return, she id it because she is Sister Sunshine. A one of a kind beautiful spirit.

She continues to host us for free even though we are growing a bit big for our britches. Hopefully we will soon be able to take away that burden and return some of the kindness that she has shown to us and to others.

But even more than being a special person who has helped us, Lydia has become family to us.

I love you bunches Lyd.

If you don't know Sister Sunshine, please drop by and pay her a visit and tell her that Jim sent you.

You will be glad that you did !

UPDATE !
I have managed to get a few minutes in the studio and came out with this working version of Wolf Tracks. I would like to dedicate it to my very special friend Patty Hammett. This song is for you little one. Love you lots ! Jim

There was a time when I had dreams of making a career out of music.

Those dreams have long since been side tracked by the things I have to do rather than the things that I want to do. For the last few years I have hoped that I could make another album. It looks like this will not happen for a long time if it ever does.

For now I will have to focus on the animals that have become by trust and the issues which surround them. For a time I will do what little I can do to save as many as I can and to change the problems which cause them to need to be saved.

I do appreciate each and every one of you who still come by and visit my antiquated site and who still send words of encouragement.

I hope each one of you success in your musical dreams. I do not regret what I do and what I shall continue to do. It is a good thing too. But I shall always hold that dream in a small place in my heart forever.

Best wishes to each of you.

Secu

Jim

I have been away for a few days and have been working very hard.

I just completed the programming on our new site and I would like to invite everyone to drop by and visit. It is still in test right now and I could use some feed back if anyone has the time or the inclination.

To actually see the site you will have to join (free) and this will give you a completely new menu.

I hope some of you will drop by and say hello.

The other software we were using for the portal turned out to be less than what we had hoped that it would be.

For any of you who may have tried to visit and found nothing there. The new links is the one below.

I think we have a really good program now and we are about ready to launch.

we look forward to seeing you there.

You can enter the site portal at http://defendthewolves.org/activism

If the link does not work for you please go to http://defendthewolves.org and click on the banner near the bottom of the page for the Wolf Gardens Wildlife Center Activist Portal..

I look forward to seeing your there.!!!

With Respect,

Jim

Thanks to Everyone for your support!

A number of people have sent messages asking for more information on what we do and for information on how they can help.

For more information please visit our web sites at http://firstnationsoutreach.org and http://defendthewolves.org

One way you can help is to subscribe to our rss feed at http://wildlifeamerica.blogspot.com/ and ask everyone on your mailing lists to join with us in making a difference.

The greatest hope we have in making change is through education. In order to do this, we must be able to get the word out. So please ask your friends to visit our web sites and subscribe to our rss feed. This will help us more than you know.

Thanks to everyone one of you who have contacted me and thanks for your support. It means the world to me.

With Respect to each and every one of you!!

Thanks, Jim! I'm working out the details of putting a home studio together. For now, these analog tapes are all I have... I actually had a cult following with them. In fact... I went out on Friday night to a place I used to go to a lot... and at least half a dozen people came up to tell me they still have my tape!

Smiles!
